Pickering Bar, North Fork of the American River

Hello Everyone, here’s some pictures from all of us. This is the Pickering Bar trip down a hogback to Pickering Bar, via Gold Run. Dawn took us to this trail. We did not know of its existence. The other way is down to the Toro Mine from Iowa Hill.

Jim went upstream as far as he could. He’s at the upper end of Two Pennyweight Bar.

That’s it for now! Thanks Dawn for taking us there. We had no idea there was another way into Pennyweight Bar. Amazing trail down a hogback. Jim recorded it as 1670 feet elevation change. That’s a healthy hike!
